Fami, the bassist of LOVEBITES with approximately 700,000 subscribers on YouTube, is set to release a new original EP titled “Hakoniwa.”!! This marks the first release under the solo name in five years since the self-produced album “卒業アルバム (Graduation Album)” (funded via crowdfunding while still in high school in 2021), and also the first release since joining LOVEBITES in 2022.
This EP fully embodies “Bassist Fami” in an authentic and personal way, blending stylish, fresh, and technical elements of J-ROCK and pop—core influences in the artist’s musical background—alongside vocaloid-inspired sounds. The result is a vibrant yet slightly melancholic work, unfolding a versatile “Fami’s World” reminiscent of opening a toy box filled with surprises.
For this release, Fami composed and wrote lyrics for three songs—“箱庭 (Hakoniwa) Affordance,” “初心者🔰はいうぇい⭐️すたぁ (Beginner 🔰 Highway ⭐︎ Star),” and “Nostalgic Logic”—as well as composing a bass instrumental track. In addition, the EP includes “スラップ星人 (Slap Alien),” a song specially written for this project by the hugely popular Vocaloid producer NayutalieN. Fami first gained widespread recognition when a bass cover video of NayutalieN’s hit song “Alien Alien,” uploaded during high school, garnered significant attention (with approximately 11.9 million views), helping establish the artist’s reputation as a prominent “cover performer” on YouTube. This new collaboration was realized following a strong request from Fami.
“I’m truly honored to have been given the opportunity to express my musical world with the support of so many people. ‘Hakoniwa Affordance,’ which also serves as the title track, is a song I wrote when I was in high school, so it holds a very special place in my heart. I would be really happy if people could listen to it closely.”, says Fami.
All tracks were recorded with a band. Fami handles both bass and vocals. Drums are performed by Hideki Aoyama, known for his work supporting artists such as B’z, BABYMETAL, and JAM Project. Guitars are performed by Yoshihiko Haga, who has supported artists including aiko, Yuzu, and Shunsuke Kiyokiba. Additionally, Mao—who has also contributed as a composer/arranger for LOVEBITES—participated in the arrangement and programming of Fami’s original compositions.
A deluxe three-disc edition will be released simultaneously, featuring a DVDcontaining the complete footage of Fami’s solo live show “Happy Birthday Live 2025,” held on June 1, 2025—her birthday—along with a live CD of the same performance. In addition to all tracks from “Graduation Album,” the release will also include cover songs such as NayutalieN’s “Alien Alien,” Sheena Ringo’s “Tokyo” and “Marunouchi Sadistic,” and Oisicle Melonpan’s “Sugar Surf.”

LOVEBITESのベーシストとしても活躍する、YouTube登録者数約70万人を誇るベーシスト＝Fami。が、ソロ名義でのオリジナルEP『箱庭』をリリース！ 2021年、高校生だったときにクラウドファンディングで自主制作したアルバム『卒業アルバム』以来5年ぶり、2022年にLOVEBITESに加入後は初となる作品だ。
本作は、自らの音楽的バックボーンにあるおしゃれかつ爽やかでありながらテクニカルなJ-ROCKやポップス、そしてボカロ曲の要素を盛り込み、快活さと哀愁さが入り混じった、まさに等身大の「ベーシストFami。」を詰め込んだ作品。まるでおもちゃ箱をひっくり返したかのような変幻自在な「Fami。ワールド」が展開される。
今回Fami。は、「箱庭アフォーダンス」、「初心者🔰はいうぇい⭐️すたぁ」、「ノスタルジック・ロジック」という3曲の作曲と作詞に加え、ベースインスト曲も作曲。さらに、超人気ボカロPのナユタン星人がこのEPのために書き下ろした楽曲「スラップ星人」も収録している。ナユタン星人の代表曲「エイリアンエイリアン」を高校生時代のFami。がYouTubeでベースカバーした動画が多くの人に閲覧され（約1190万回再生）、「弾いてみた動画」投稿者として有名になるきっかけとなったこともあり、今回Fami。からの熱いラブコールでこの楽曲提供が実現した。

収録曲は全て生バンドでレコーディング。ベース兼ボーカルはもちろんFami。が担当。ドラムスは、B'zやBABYMETAL、JAM Projectらのサポートとしても活躍してきた青山英樹。ギターはaiko、ゆず、清木場俊介らのサポートも務めてきた芳賀義彦。またFami。自作曲のアレンジとプログラミングには、LOVEBITESにもコンポーザー／アレンジャーとして協力するMaoが参加している。
また、2025年の自身の誕生日である6月1日に行なったソロライブ「はっぴぃばぁすでぇ・らいぶ2025」の映像を完全収録したDVDに加え、同音源を収めたライブCD付属の3枚組デラックス・エディションも同時発売。『卒業アルバム』全曲に加え、先述のナユタン星人「エイリアンエイリアン」、椎名林檎の「Tokyo」と「丸の内サディスティック」、おいしくるメロンパン「シュガーサーフ」などのカバーも収録される。
